The Honorary Consulate General Republic of Liberia and President and CEO of Global Strategies for Good, LLC, the Honorable Cynthia Lynn Blandford and Ameila Ross-Hammond, Ph.D., Distinguished Faculty & Professor of Music; Director, Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Campus Liaison, Norfolk State University, co-hosted an 8-day Service-Learning program in Liberia where Norfolk State students read to students at J.W. Pearson Elementary school, delivered much needed school supplies, traveled to the beautiful city of Robertsport to meet with the Superintendent of Grand Cape Mount County to discuss the eco-tourism and planted a vegetable garden with students at Senje Technical School. The delegation also had the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the USAID Country Director, Minister of Education and other key officials, tour the City of Monrovia to see historic sites and to experience the wonderful culture, food and history of Liberia.
