In support of the clarion call from Liberia’s Minister of Health, Honorable Wilhemina Jallah, a wish list of medical supplies and equipment has been shared to help combat COVID-19 in Liberia including the need for Waste Management Materials and Supplies, Transportation Processing Needs, Office Equipment, Sample Collection Blood and Swabs and Reagents. Please go to our website at http://www.liberianconsulatega.com for further information to help support this important cause. In collaboration with the Liberian Nurses Association USA, a Medical Mission to Liberia is also being planned to help support Liberia’s efforts fight against the virus and to provide training and technical assistance to frontline workers. If you would like to participate, we are calling on Doctors, Nurses, Physician Assistants, and others who can assist in this effort.
A Liberia Private Sector Donations (LIPSEC) Portal has also been launched to support the Government of Liberia’s COVID-19 Response. The Portal collects private sector donations whether they are in-cash, in-kind or in hours. This effort will allow these donations to be potentially available for international donor matching funds to support the most vulnerable in Liberia. USAID, the Liberian Embassy in D.C., PricewaterhousehouseCoopers (PwC) and the West Africa Coronavirus Platform Liberia are the collaborating partners in this effort. For more information on this, please visit http://www.lipsec.org.
