			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Honorary Consul General Republic of Liberia, will officially begin to process travel visas to Liberia beginning Tuesday, July 5, 2011.</p>
<p>Cynthia Blandford Nash, Honorary Consul General Republic of Liberia, has been given Authority by the Liberian Government to provide visa services to all who wish to travel to Liberia.</p>
<p>Effective July 5, 2011, hours of operation are from 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. Please call to make an appointment at 404-590-1655 or to ask questions. You can also e-mail the Consul General at info@liberianconsulatega.com.</p>
<p>Providing travel visas out of the Atlanta Consulate Office will provide easy access to those in the Southeastern United States who wish to travel to Liberia. Liberia is open for business and the Honorary Consul General is pleased to work with local business partners to identify opportunities for investment and trade. Liberia is rich in rubber, diamond, gold, oil palm, coffee, cocoa and other natural resources.  Special tax incentives will be provided for those who qualify through the Liberian Ministry of Finance.  Liberia has close historical ties to Georgia and we expect an upsurge in travel and tourism to the country in the near-term.</p>
<p>Liberia has 350 miles of  beautiful golden beaches, the Liberian Pigmy Hippo, Sapo National Forest and Monrovia is known as the surfing capital of the world. Tourists will visit Providence Island where the first African-Americans settled in the early 1800s and will learn more about the 10 African-American Presidents of Liberia, the founding fathers of the country.  Her Excellency Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is the first African female Head of State on the Continent of Africa who has brought peace and stability to the country, reduced the country’s debt and increased economic development and trade.</p>

<p>The Revenue Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Liberia is hosting a Tax Awareness Road Show in Atlanta, Georgia, in collaboration with the Liberian Honorary Consul General, Cynthia Blandford Nash.</p>
<p>The objective is to inform Liberians and U.S businesses of various requirements and procedures in the Liberian tax system, reforms and modernization processes undertaken in both Customs and Internal Revenue procedures to enhance professional delivery of quality services, and tax incentives that are available to Liberians and US businesses operating abroad that intend to invest in Liberia.</p>
<p>The Embassy is encouraging Liberians living in the Diaspora to attend the conference and come ready to provide recommendations on various procedures and service delivery to further promote commerce and trade, facilitate payment of legitimate taxes due the government of Liberia, enhance revenue performance and ultimately balanced national development.</p>
<p>We will also be raffling off 1 Round trip Business Class Transatlantic Delta Airlines ticket, good for international travel. Raffle tickets are 1 for $15 or 4 for $50 and can be purchased on the registration website. You do not have to be present to win and travel is good until November 1, 2011.</p>
